I am a photographer, a capturer of events large and small, moments ordinary and extraordinary.
Photography connects me to the world of quiet places and to the noise of air shows and rodeos. It connects me to the theatre, music, and performing arts. Best of all, it lets me share my images with others and pass on my photographic and post-processing skills to others through classes and seminars.
From a close-up of a tiny spider web, to the immensity of a Great Lake, I am constantly fascinated by the world around me. Whether I’m photographing butterflies in a meadow, capturing aerobatic planes at an air show or doing a portrait of a prized show cat, I strive to capture images that tell stories and evoke emotion. I am fortunate to be a photographer at a time when technology has enabled me to create the images I see in my mind, not just those I see through my camera’s viewfinder. The combination of technical and artistic skill I bring to my photography enables me to create compelling images of my subjects.
My images are regularly used in displays at events, and for calendars, magazines and on web sites. They have been used by the Minnesota DNR, Minnesota Zoo, and National Park Service. I regularly participate in photographic exhibits, galleries, and photographic competitions where I have won many awards for my images.
I’m always interested in opportunities to photograph events and pass on what I’ve learned. If you have an upcoming event in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, and you’re looking for a photographer that can produce a quality product, contact me. I’ve photographed national Cat Shows, theatre performances, professional road races, air shows, rodeos, and many other events, so I can do justice to your event. For events outside the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, contact me about traveling to your event.
